I've had this photo up elsewhere for a while now, but decided to share it here as well. This is one of my first infrared photographs, taken in an alleyway.
The stuffed octopus has been in the lost and found for a while. Today (19 January, 2010) it seems to have been joined by this pirate coconut.
I didn't take many photographs during my November, 2009 vacation in the Dominican Republic. Most of my time was spent relaxing on the beach with a notebook and a pen.
One of my favorite spots was under this particular tree which was largely responsible for protecting me from the sun.
I've read that macro lenses can be used for portrait photography, but I doubt this is what was meant. While playing around with a 105 mm macro lens, I decided to turn the camera on myself to take this picture.
On the 31st of May, 2009, I decided to take the camera out for a walk on the Root River Pathway. Shown here are two of the many bridges over the river.
On the same walk I was on while taking Bridge Over the Root River I happened to notice this fire hydrant just sitting there with nothing around it. The photograph itself is not particularly good, but I thought it would be appropriate as a wallpaper for Windows 7. Replies on Twitter confirm that I'm not alone in thinking this.
On the 16th of May, 2009, I woke up to find Autumn (a cat currently living with me) relaxing inside the piano so I decided to take a few pictures of her being cute. She was awake by the time I had my camera assembled and I suspect the flash may have annoyed her as she soon got up, walked over the wires, and jumped down to the floor.
